Forest Green Interior Reconstituted Veneer
Reconstituted Through-Dyed Birch Striped Veneers - Forest Green
Description
Forest Green, through-dyed, birch veneers retain the organic beauty of wood grain stripes, coupled with the convenience of a pre-dyed natural color tone.
Reconstituted veneers are genuine wood veneers produced from FSC certified birch wood and dyed with environment inspired colors. Each sheet is created from individually dyed veneer layers, formed into a laminated blank and then sliced, yielding a unique surface.
Being a natural wood product means that color, structure and characteristics may vary from one sheet to the next.
Most commercial adhesives will work on reconstituted veneers. Can be applied to plywood, mdf, chipboard and other solid surfaces. We recommend using a balancing backer of the same thickness.
Dyed veneer sheets are very thin, measuring at .6mm, so they are fragile and we suggest handling with care. Splits and cracks along the veneer are common and can be easily patched. The simplest method is applying veneer tape to the face of the veneer while holding the split together and applying your veneer to your intended surface application using a cold press veneer glue or adhesive.
For laser cutting, we recommend applying your veneer to your substrate and then cutting. You can laser cut prior to applying to substrate, but note some splitting along the grain may occur. Again, you can use veneer tape to make final transfer easier.
